True 24/7 response — a real person
Call at 2am with a burst pipe and you reach an Auckland dispatcher, not an answerphone or an overseas call centre.
Your local Auckland plumbing specialists
We answer the phone around the clock, dispatch PGDB-certified plumbers across Auckland, and fix the problem properly the first time. No call-centre, no upselling, no surprises on the invoice.
Why choose us
Call at 2am with a burst pipe and you reach an Auckland dispatcher, not an answerphone or an overseas call centre.
Every job is carried out by, or directly supervised by, a PGDB-certifying plumber, gasfitter or drainlayer.
We quote the job before we start. You approve the price before we pick up a wrench, and that price is what you pay.
We do not swap parts hoping to get lucky. Thermal imaging, acoustic detection and pressure testing find the real fault.
Drop sheets down, shoe covers on, work area contained, and everything cleaned up properly before we leave.
If anything we install or repair develops a related fault, we come back and put it right at no charge.
A two-hour window, not a whole day off work — and we call or text when the van is on the way.
Priority scheduling, volume rates and a dedicated account manager for body corporates and property managers.
Testimonials
A pipe burst in our laundry at 11pm on a Sunday. I called PipeZen expecting an answerphone and got a real person. A plumber was at the door within 40 minutes, found the problem in ten, fixed it cleanly and was gone by 1am. The house was dry and the water was back on. I cannot say enough about how professional and fast this team is.
Our 1920s place still had all its original galvanised plumbing — brown water, terrible pressure, constant drips. PipeZen repiped the whole house in PEX over four days. The pressure is like a different house, the water runs clear, and the disruption was minimal. They patched the access holes neatly and cleaned everything up. Excellent work at a fair price.
We had a slab leak two other plumbers could not pinpoint without tearing up our floors. PipeZen used acoustic detection and found it precisely. The repair was done through a targeted access point rather than a full excavation. The professionalism and accuracy of this team is extraordinary — highly recommend for anything complex.

How it works
For emergencies call 09 887 4120 now. A dispatcher answers 24/7 and sends the nearest available certifying plumber straight away.
Your plumber arrives inside the agreed window, introduces themselves, puts covers down and walks you through the problem.
After diagnosing the fault you get a written fixed-price quote for the recommended repair. Ask anything; we answer plainly.
We repair using quality materials and NZ code-compliant methods, pressure-test the work, then tidy up completely.
Residential vs commercial
The fittings, the code and the way we stage the work all change between a villa in Grey Lynn and a retail fit-out in Newmarket. Here is how we approach each.
Service areas
24/7 emergency service is available throughout our primary service area. For outlying locations same-day response is usually available — call to confirm current dispatch availability.

Talk to a plumberFrequently asked questions
Yes. We answer calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including public holidays. When you call our emergency line you reach a dispatcher who assesses the situation and sends the nearest available certifying plumber. You are told the after-hours call-out fee before we dispatch, so there is never a surprise.
Standard-hours call-out starts at $95 + GST, which covers travel and the first period on site. After-hours starts at $110 + GST. Beyond that, we do not bill open-ended hourly rates — we diagnose the fault, give you a written fixed price for the repair, and you approve it before we start. If the job turns out to be smaller than expected, the price comes down.
The usual causes are a partially closed toby, a blocked or failing pressure-reducing valve, corroded galvanised supply pipes, or a low-pressure cylinder that has reached its limit. Diagnosis takes a pressure and flow test at a few points. Fixes range from a $150 valve replacement through to a staged repipe — we will tell you which one you are facing before you commit to anything.
Every tradesperson on our team holds current registration with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB), and all gas work is completed by a certifying gasfitter who issues the Gas Safety Certificate. We carry full public liability insurance and are Master Plumbers members, so our workmanship is guarantee-backed.
Where the work requires it, yes — and we handle the paperwork. Most repairs and like-for-like replacements are exempt. New sanitary plumbing, drainage alterations and some hot water installations require building consent from Auckland Council, and we manage the application, inspections and producer statements as part of the job.
Turn off every tap and appliance in the house, then check your water meter. If the dial is still moving, water is going somewhere it should not. Other signs: a bill that has jumped without a change in usage, a persistently damp or warm patch on a floor, bubbling paint on one wall, or the sound of running water in a quiet house.
Turn the water off at the toby — usually a small round cover near the street boundary — then switch off the electricity to any affected area at the switchboard if water is anywhere near wiring or fittings. Move what you can out of the water, then call us. Do not wait to fill in a form; ring the emergency line.
