Hot Water Cylinders & Continuous Flow
Repair where sensible, replace where it is not.
What this covers
- Cylinder repair and element replacement
- Mains-pressure cylinder installation
- Gas continuous flow (califont) install
- Heat pump hot water systems
- Tempering valve replacement
- Annual cylinder service
A hot water cylinder that is more than fifteen years old and has started to weep is telling you something. We will always tell you when a repair is the sensible option — an element and thermostat is a fraction of the cost of a replacement — but we will not patch a cylinder that is about to fail and flood your hot water cupboard.
Low pressure to mains pressure
A lot of Auckland villas and 1960s homes still run low-pressure copper cylinders. Upgrading to a mains-pressure stainless cylinder transforms shower performance, but it means checking the incoming supply, the pipework sizing and the tempering valve at the same time. We quote the whole job, not just the tank.
Continuous flow and heat pump
Gas continuous flow suits households with variable demand and no room for a tank. Hot water heat pumps cost more up front and pay it back on the power bill. We will run the numbers for your household rather than pushing whatever we have on the van.
Compliance
All installations are done to G12, with the required tempering valve, seismic restraint and safe-tray drainage. You get the paperwork.
