The expensive part of a hidden leak is rarely the repair — it is the exploratory demolition. We use acoustic correlation, thermal imaging and staged pressure isolation to narrow a leak down to a small area before anything is opened up.
Signs worth calling about
- Water meter dial moving with every tap and toilet off
- A warm patch on the floor, or a section of concrete that is always damp
- Paint bubbling or skirting swelling on one wall only
- Water pressure that has dropped away gradually over months
Old galvanised pipework
Plenty of Auckland homes from before the 1970s still have galvanised steel supply lines. They rust from the inside out, which shows up as brown water, poor flow and eventually pinhole leaks. Once one goes, others follow — at that point a staged repipe is better value than chasing individual failures.
